Doodlin last night – found in an abandoned sketchbook and finished it.
Bought this bento box in Koreatown. It promised me a dreamy future. BIG TOMORROW somewhere over today, happiness wait for you don’t look back and don’t worry. I believe, you should be happy let’s seek for dreamy future, we can fly to be free
Monday. Drinking coffee ground with new grinding mill, eating a self-made red velvet cupcake and making plans. To commemorate, here is Vee’s cat ominously lounging in my wheelchair.
Just a quick little fun thing. The one on the left is almost done, the one on the right is basically an underpainting and will not look so Fafi after layer #2. I don’t love painting on wood but a change is good on occasion. Oil, wood.
Where we stayed in NYC
Need to paint my nails. Painting on wood, instead. How is everyone out there, in the world?
It’s 2 am. Moments ago, a large taxi driver handed me a Russian Christian Ministries flier in the elevator of my building. “Please come – Saturday, 11 am.” He seemed to really mean it. After a pause I talked about the churches in Russia, how beautiful they are. He repeated “Please come”. Is nowhere safe? — This prompts a mini Flickr recap of recent days. Not motivated for NYC #2 update, yet. New painting, very early in the process. Oil …
Flew Virgin America for the first time, which was very pretty and slick. Sadly, the seats didn’t recline nearly far enough for an overnight flight and the seat to seat chat seems a bit on the creepy side. Click the image below to be taken to the Virgin set on Flickr. Stayed in Brooklyn’s Park Slope with Mark – college friend of D’s – and his ladyfriend Sophia. I’d never spent time in Brooklyn before, and really dug it. Their …

And, of course, if you’re in or around the area, you must come see my work at the Dances of Vice Festival this weekend and say hello. Clickity click!
Just as I was mentioning my plans to re-create my Rococo technology designs in actual metal yesterday, someone talented took it upon themselves to create this delightful 3D model. Brings the project to life, it do.
This is a direct cross-post from Coilhouse, my appologies to anyone who is reading it twice. Diz and Mil. Friends, one of Our People is in serious trouble. Mildred’s partner, Diz, has been arrested in Dubai for melatonin, an over-the-counter aid for jet lag. You can read the full story here, on Mildred’s LJ. I quote: We kind of knew he would be profiled because he has long hair and looks oriental (they are very racist against Asians in Dubai, …
Paper, ink 11×14″ I’ve been seething with the especially persistent feeling that I should be drawing instead of just about anything, so this was angrily hammered out in two and a half hours, in such a mania. Please excuse these not being scans, will scan it just as soon as I can. Carrying on with the Rococo technology theme I’ve been developing since the trips to Russia and Italy. There is something infinitely appealing about the concept of intricate jewelry …
As you might have read for yourselves by the way of Coilhouse, I have the pleasure of participating in the Dances of Vice Festival February 8 and 9. I’ll be showing The Pleiads together for the first time along with a few other pieces, and selling prints, as well. And,
