2007 in review – the opus

The past year was the busiest I’ve ever been, and consequently the most fulfilling. I did learn a lot about stretching myself too thin, but it was most definitely worth it. Reflecting while writing this gave me a chance to examine the way I spend my time, which will hopefully lead to an optimized life system – now entertaining the idea of a monthly recap in this vein. In the meantime I’ll be doing some physical writing in regards to …

Jellyfish

Me, by Jason Levske a.k.a. StuntKid. Jason’s pretty great and so are his illustrations. Expect little but occasional images here for a while. Verbosity is being utilized elsewhere.

Beginning anew.

This decision to start posting here has been a long time coming, the only thing stopping me has been procrastination. No longer! And what better way to begin than by sharing a new painting. Completed in late November, oil on canvas. String

Etsy shmetsy

Etsy shmetsy, originally uploaded by zoetica. Listed some of my favorite originals on Etsy. Don’t know why I’ve been so lazy about it – that account had been hanging around since August, gathering dust, save for occasional shopping. A proper update.

girlinspace2, originally uploaded by zoetica. ————– what’s new you ask? oh, it’s living, you know. Some brain parasites relent, others emerge. I’ve been battling some demons. Also i am really, profoundly in need of a new bed. The twin’s inadequate for my needs. My bedroom is inadequate for my needs. Some serious redecoration is in order..i’m fantasizing about moving, as per what seems a semi-annual tradition, but not in any sort of realistic terms just yet. What i’d like …

Art show this Saturday: Seven Brides Electrified

In case you missed the news, read all about it HERE or, on second thought, just scroll down for the full transcription, art samples and more! The Jail Gallery presents a collection of art from seven fascinating young women. Loosely focused around the number 7, playful madness, sexuality and dreams, the works are as diverse and unique as the artists themselves. Jennybird Alcantra‘s unhinged fairy tale works have been likened to those of Salvador Dali. Award-winning neo-victorian illustrator Molly Crabapple …
