What I love about this picture is that it doesn’t feel like just a pretty picture of you. It has a great character feel to it & the colors create a solid mood & aesthetic.
It reminds me a lot of the images you did with Vladimir Perlovich (sets that remain some of my favorite to this day) only this has it’s own unique style obviously. I sometimes think Allan can go TOO far with the post work on his images but when they come together they are really something special. It’s what makes his stuff fun to see really – there is always something in them a detail, a color, a pose that just steals you INTO the image.
It feels like one is standing right in front of you – & that you’re about to do – something. Could be good or ill but you’re in the middle of going from thought to action either way.
Would love to see a print of this done life size or larger just for the knock out feel that would instill.
