Paper, ink 11×14″
I’ve been seething with the especially persistent feeling that I should be drawing instead of just about anything, so this was angrily hammered out in two and a half hours, in such a mania. Please excuse these not being scans, will scan it just as soon as I can.
Carrying on with the Rococo technology theme I’ve been developing since the trips to Russia and Italy. There is something infinitely appealing about the concept of intricate jewelry being functional devices. There’s hope to create a few 3D prototypes of the headset and headphones, like these, to start.

Rococopunk? Really lovely.
Did you get the package I sent with ‘Gift’ yet?
Shay – thank you! “Rocopunk” flows a little better, harr,
I’ve been battling the post office – was there for 20 minutes today, only to have the clerk tell me “everything’s in disarray back there, and there’s no one here to help me”.
Will be going back tomorrow morning.
Aww, fooey. And yours is one of the most efficient national postal services. I should have FedExed it :/ Sowwy. Let me know when (if?) you finally get it..! xoxo
Yes! I miss seeing your drawings and especially the pen & ink stuff. You’ve such a great line…hope you do more of it in the coming year. Not that I don’t enjoy your painting but I’m a sucker for all things in ink. I’m most enjoying the way the hair came out…both in design and final look.
Great theme by the way…working on something similar only on a far different spectrum. Your idea should stand out amid the sea of aging cyberpunk and always uneven steampunk.
Ah, I’ve another “Vanguard Nurse Zo” drawing to show you…this one is more brush heavy than the last ones…a bit more organic but still heavily stylized.

Shay – got it! Thank you so much.
Picked it up on my way to work, looking forward to going home and listening to the mixed CD. Love the cover art, harr.
Tequila – thanks, I do plan to draw more this year – my first ,yet neglected, passion. And sweet Tesla’s sack, that drawing – insane! All that detail, and definitely more abstract. Diggin’ it!
Weeeee!
Let me know what you think of the mix cd, and how watching Gift felt after all this time, I’d be interested in hearing your impressions..
Then I look forward to more of your drawings and the evolution of “Rocopunk”. Glad you’re diggin the drawing, I actually had to drop a lot of details and make a few lines thicker so they’d be visible at the resolution you see the drawing now. Unfortunately that killed the more subtle line work on the face…still not happy with that but damned if it wasn’t fun. Next up I wanna take the best of all three sketches and make something that really stands on its own.
