It’s just after midnight. My dear comrades Nadya and Mer have left me to my own devices after a rather epic meeting of the minds [and their hot meat-vessels]. Dogs are howling outside and the fog-cocoon is glowing especially bright tonight. I hope it stays a while.
I planned to take this long holiday weekend to myself and do absolutely nothing but read. Instead, I was on the move the entire time. This turned out to be helpful in getting me out of the netherspace I’d been floating in. Still, a weekend of nothing but time in bed, to read and do close to nothing – what a dream that would be.
Thanksgiving was spent in a beautiful house with friends, food and a fair amount of liquor. The following day found me somewhat disheveled [very fucking disheveled, actually] but it mattered not, for a friend was visiting from the North. We hunted for spooky things on Melrose, ate amazing steak in Santa Monica, and re-watched Fear and Loathing over Shiraz and conversation.
Yesterday, Lou O’Bedlam invited me to join him and his gang of roaming photo-snipers in a 5 hour shooting extravaganza on a secluded Santa Clarita ranch.
We saw horses, tractors and a road runner. We heard mountain lions. We ate In N’ Out.
I had several costume changes, posed, took pictures of pretty humans [with their clothes on for a change], drank 2 Redbulls [don’t try this at home, children] and fell asleep in the car soon after. In the evening I celebrated Nadya’s birthday at our favorite Russian spot.
Today’s 8-hour meeting has me inspired and awed by my friends and colleagues. Also, I have news!
- Select art prints will be made available very shortly.
- The limited edition Zoetica/Platikwrap T-shirts will, too – just in time for the holidays. Please stand by for an announcement this week.
- Dear people of Livejournal! If you wish to comment, please do so directly on my website. I don’t check LJ very often – this is only syndicated there for you.
And finally, for those of you already in the morning hours – a little something to start your week right.

That video was well funny, one of the better mash-ups i’ve seen. You should check out Ludachrist, they are by far the best mash-up group out there.

Okay, I don’t know her name but that first picture of your baby puppy made me make all sorts of stupid noises that generally sane people make around human babies.
