And now, to celebrating the finer things in life.

Another favorable aspect of my Denver journey: hangin’ with these love-beasts. Introducing Filya, the eternal Labrador puppy intent on showering the world with adoration and saliva, and Kuzya, the deceptively lithe three-legged cat who insisted on sleeping directly on top of me the entirety of my stay.

FEEL IT.

It never ceases to amaze me how much love animals can give to us. They can be such a source of comfort when you’re feeling down. I think of our two cats as my furry children. I love waking up and finding them squeezed in between my husband and myself on the bed. How they get into some of those positions, I’m not sure.

Hope that you are feeling better Zoetica. I can not imagine what it is like to lose a parent. I know it’s something we must all experience, but I’m sure we’re never prepared for.

Believe it or not, I myself have not only a black Labrador with the same intent, but also a cat with one leg that is completely paralyzed and won’t move from her chest, so technically, she only has three legs. They give some of the best love in the world. I hope that the love of Kuzya and Fillya helped ease your pain.
