Style Dispatch

I should probably warn you, dearest new readers, that much of Style Dispatch will involve socks, thigh highs, stockings, etc. I really, really love legwear. One might even call my love an obsession. My sock collection takes up at least 6 drawers! Seriously, gents and ladies – I dropped over $200 on socks alone when I went to Tokyo. There is something infinitely alluring in covered legs, with maybe just a sliver of skin peeking from under a skirt; more appeal in layering than revealing. I’m not talking about modesty, however. I love “sheer” and I love “form-fitting” and carefully exposed clavicles or shoulders are wonderful! I simply appreciate a certain air of mystery. It’s this concept that makes extra-long socks like the pair in this post so very irresistible. Scroll down for lots more photos and outfit details.

This here as a casual outfit, worn on an outing with my family. I don’s know about you, but the word “casual” always sets me on edge and makes me try extra-hard to avoid mediocrity. I’m fond of pairing loose, long tops with short skirts and flats – it’s comfortable, practical and still cute, damn it. Basically, it’s everything you want a casual outfit to be. Anyone who knows and understands this formula will agree that there’s no reason to ever leave the cave looking dull. To continue on the path to comfort and avoid lugging a giant bag, I rebel with a tiny utili-sack. I love the word “sack”, by the way.

You’ll find the outfit breakdown after the rest of the photos, below.
