It’s been radio silence with the exception of the Monster? announcement, I know. This time not only work is to blame, but let me assure you that all is well. How well I can’t say just yet, however I do have some exciting things to share.
The biggest news, is that Coilhouse Magazine’s Issue 3 is now available. Click here for a tour!
In addition to the Inform/Inspire/Infect section dividers I illustrated “Now Do You Understand the Meaning of Life?” A Brief Tour of Pre-War Russian Pulp” – an introduction to Soviet pulp fiction of the 20s and 30s by Jess Nevins [!!!].
Can’t begin to tell you how much I dug working on this! I took my inspiration from old-school propaganda of the Motherland. Using thick lines and bold detail was liberating compared to the obsessive crosshatching and needle-thin lines I’m used to. I’ll post the rest of the illustrations from this article at a future date
In addition to the magazine we’ve made a new line of shirts in two styles. This is the second incarnation of the intrepid Stratosphere Messenger in T-shirt form, the first being my iridescent blue collaboration with Plastikwrap.
And that’s not all, folks! We’ve got stickers, 2 kinds. The Messenger and the Inform girl from Issue 1 are here and ready for you to stick them wherever you want.
Now that Issue 3 is frolicking out in the wild and learning the ways of he world, it is, of course, time to work on Issue 4. A few peeks at the new I/I/I section dividers I’ve been working on over the past two months, below, and here.
Another thing I’m terribly excited about is a full BioRequiem makeover. Top to bottom, this place is getting completely revamped. Long-overdue. You’ll see when she’s all hussied up, blushing and ready to be sent out center-stage with a brisk slap on the ass.
And now I must leave in a hurry, leaving you with this recent addition to my ongoing 365 project.
seriously, those glasses are amazing. Where the heck did you get them. Also, i love this font.
