I took these last Sunday – the final Sunday of the Occupy Los Angeles City Hall encampment, taken over the course of six and a half frenzied hours between 9:30 pm and 4:30am.
Quintus iPhoned that sweet action shot of me. Aww yeeh. View all 61 images in the slideshow below.
Captivating as always. I returned to Occupy Philadelphia for its final evening, got a few good shots.
Thanks! Did you post yours anywhere?
Looks like most need a bath and I would like to know where they work? What kind of job lets you take off for weeks to go join a protest…. hhmmmm
Eric, I have no idea how you made it to my blog, but I’m guessing you haven’t been here long.
It may be of some use to you to know that many of the people who are part of the Occupy movement are there precisely because they have lost their jobs or are otherwise disenfranchised due to the corruption of our economic system. Others take time away from or lost their jobs to conduct important work with the movement, in the interest of greater, lasting impact. If they look like they need baths to you, that’s probably because they do, having dedicated the past two months to rallies, assemblies, etc.
I hope you’ll find the time to do your own research before making any more uninformed, knee-jerk statements.
Well said Miss Zoetica. As for my personal experience toward Eric, I don’t work 24/7. I do have time off. I spent some of my time supporting the protest AFTER work.
As for my pictures, I haven’t uploaded them (oddly enough) but I’ll post here when I do so you can have a look if you’re interested.
Thanks for weighing in, Memphis! And yes, I’d love to see your shots.
Just got your newsletter so hopefully I catch ya before you disappear for the holidays! Here are the shots, uploaded to a quick site. They were taken by two different cameras between myself and another, so the quality is a bit lacking in some. You’d think we were armed and demanding blood with the amount of police out there!
