These were taken during my first full [and I do mean full] day in Rome, and are but a taste of many, many more, which are coming to ChinaShop soon. Stay tuned for more Coliseum, Vatican Museum, Forum, and the jaw-dropping, awe-inspiring St. Peter’s Basilica. See also: EuroZoom 2011, Part 1.

Gorgeous, Rome is such a wonderful place I spent a week there what seems like an age ago just wandering round all the historic sights, Rome is such a great place to wander through and get lost in I really hope to go back there someday xoxo
Is that a real baby dragon?
I visited Rome in 2009…it was one of the most amazing experiences ever. I walked through the streets in a half-daze for most of the time. I took nearly no pictures at all, I was just so occupied staring at things. My favourite moments were the first glimpse I caught of the Colisseum, entering the Pantheon, and…also finding the best ice cream ever. :)
I love seeing all those beautiful details in your photos. They make me smile. :)
Break dancing on the cobblestones of Rome…awwww right! Great photos.
What a great time to be in Rome… I hear there is a lot going on in St. Peter’s square this spring.
When I was there I dropped my camera in the Vatican and totally chipped a tile on the floor.

Even though my familial loyalties are to Turin, Rome is equally as awesome and these pictures capture it beautifully. There’s a certain vibe and attitude the Romani have which isn’t the same anywhere else in Italy and makes it an amazing city to be in, I miss the country more than ever after seeing this. One small point, in Italian the adjective succeeds the noun, so “ragazza italiana classica” would be more accurate, to my knowledge.
it is called Colosseo not Coliseum, there’s not an english version for this name, it’s only Colosseo!
