WAVE air station control tower crew, 1954
I’m not in the habit of publishing letters from my readers, but in the case of this morning’s correspondence, I felt compelled, and I promise it’s not to let you know that people like my blog. Reason being the grand-scale transformation of the author – I was moved to tears when I read this email and think it absolutely belongs here as an end-of-the-year spur to stop making excuses and Get It Done. Click below for full size/better readability. Thank you again, ETSN. To great adventures!
Love this. It’s always nice to know when you’ve touched someone’s life. <3
I bet you move a lot more of people.
It’s a nice touch to end the year.
This brought a smile to my face! I love hearing transformation stories like this. It must be such an honor to be part of the inspiration for that.
Dude. If I had a dollar for every random time I think about YOU as an reminder that there are people who are themselves and go after what they want and are not afraid, proud even to share it (and still keep some parts to themselves – very classy)… Just sayin, its powerful shit. Thank you for existing!
:)
you do inspire, deeply.
and i’m glad that you now know it, deeply.
“So thank you for living your life to the fullest and documenting it online because you inspire others to do the same.”
She took the words right out of my mouth. Anyone who inspires others to find their bliss in life is definitely doing something right!! Also, courage is contagious. <3
Thank you for sharing, your life through the blog and this touching missive.
2011 is the year to stop making excuses and Get It Done indeed, at least for me, and I must confess the inspiration often comes from this blog.
She sounds like such a strong and fulfilled woman now. This is utterly wonderful and instantly got my cogs whirring about my own pursuits and how this email, your blog and my actions relate to them. I wish her all the best in her deployment and you all the best in everything you do (that I will be happily following)!
Simply beautiful. You really are a great inspiration, truly.
That was warming to read. I can’t imagine what it must feel like to know that you do inspire so many people, especially women. I am one of them, and though it is hard to break habits (I drink too much, smoke, eat terribly, and never exercise) – you give me a certain fire inside me to take better care of my body and mind. I definitely have the yearning and STRONG desire to quit all that is aiding in the deterioration of me. That seems to be better than to hold apathy about it all, in my opinion, but I know it’ll be better when I decide to really do something. No overnight changes but gradual. That’s all I can hope for and you continue to kindle that hope everytime I read your blog or look at pictures from your fulfilling life. With many others, we thank you.
How touching, she’s an inspiration as well as you, my dear. I have to say that you help me remember that I should just DO IT already, whatever IT is. I’m impressed that you have managed to make multiple careers out of your creative endeavors and I only hope to do a fraction of the same.
Happy end of the year reflections….
That lady’s story is inspiring indeed! How brave. I’m happy for her. Certainly proof positive that we mustn’t be afraid to take giant leaps of faith, especially when the situation necessitates such an action. The right path in our life, the place where we belong, is always there waiting for us, if only we’d take that first step forward…
What is life if we don’t inspire and lift each other up? When everything is said and done, it’s the only thing that truly matters, I think.
Indeed an inspiring anecdote. How brave; I’m happy for her. Certainly proof positive that we mustn’t be afraid to take giant leaps of faith, especially when the situation necessitates such an action. The right path in our life, the place where we belong is always there waiting for us, if only we’d take that first step forward…
What is life if we don’t inspire and lift each other up? When everything is said and done, it’s the only thing that truly matters… Happy New Years Humanity!
She’s right. You do Inform Inspire & Infect us. Many people like myself can’t live life the way you do. So what do we do? Enjoy your words and your art. I’m so glad to hear that a fellow suppressed soul has found freedom. Thanks Zoetica!
Beautiful. Don’t you just love it when the internet is used for Awesome?
