T’was Hallow’s Eve in Dublin and we planned on taking pictures of the decorated houses in our neighborhood…
…but realized that painting our faces and scaring children was a significantly better idea.
A few photos happened, anyway, between throwing candy, lurking and dropping in on our unsuspecting neighbors (who both just happened to be wearing pig onesies, so…).
Also, I did a pretty kick-ass ten-minute job on Gašper’s face using only my Naked palette from Urban Decay:
My Reaper look was achieved with a hooded jumpsuit and Hysteric eye shadow from Sugarpill on top of a bunch of other stuff I slapped on my face in no particular order. I wrote a basic skull tutorial a while back, if you’re interested in the process.

As for Halloween, it was all about taking Reza trick o’ treating and her school festivities. She dressed up as Elphaba (and was a total hit thanks to my make-up shenanigans)

Sam, that hoodie is by FouFouDog – your cats need them, badly. The color is lots of levels and curves tinkering, with a bit of selective color adjustment.
Ivonne, holy cow – Reza looked spectacular (and you make a saucy nun, might I add). What did you use for that awesome green? Was it hard to remove?

The green is a face paint product for kids called Snazaroo that I picked up at Michaels. It goes on like a watercolor… applied with a large powder brush and water. Takes a little longer to apply since you have to layer it but it washes off quite easily since it is water soluble. Worked WAY BETTER than cream based make-up. She may be a little tinged around the hairline but other than that, like nothing. It’s pretty rad. The rest was MAC eyeshadows… she was lucky I have a vast collection of greens and yellows.

I flipped through a few costumes this year since I took the day off to rampage the town. General Ghoulishness in the morning, a bit of Clockwork Orange Alex in the afternoon, and then the grand finale of a costume that confused everyone.
